I'm being shouted at again...

Yes I know, I can talk for england but when it comes to typing I just never seem to get around to it. Well we've had a fantastic Christmas the kids loved their trampoline on Christmas morning and were out on it before the sun was even up and in their dressing gowns too. I think we can safely say we rocked this christmas. LOL

Keeping it a secret was hard work and Will wanted to spill many a time, but it all worked out in the end. Christine my SIL took all the kids out for the day on Christmas Eve while 2 of my BIL's came and put it up with Will. We all met back up at the Christmas eve party and when we got home it was reindeer dust then bedtime so the Kids were none the wiser. Their faces on Christmas morning made all the planning and sorting worth it. Though how we'll match it next year I don't know.

Boxing day was spent with my Sister and a quick visit from My brother followed by more food at the MIL's then crashing on the couch. It's taken me over a week to recover.

Tonight we're off to Christine & Andy's for a party with over 70 to welcome the new year in. The kids go back to school on the third this year, but I have a feeling they won't of gotten over the late night by then.......ahh well I suppose the teachers will have a tough time of it. Hehe.

Right I'm now off to get this house back in some sort of order. The presents have all been sorted out and put away but for some reason they don't want to stay put, and while I was at work last night they've been jumping all over the house.

Past layouts...

While I've not scrapped for a bit, or managed to take wacky pictures of the kids either I thought it was time to bombard you with past DT layouts for Scrapagogo. None of these have been online before but if you've had the kit then you may well recognise them. This kit is a must have for Scrappers and if you still haven't got yourself a Christmas present then I highly recommend that you go and get yourself a subscription. Make your present last all year. :-)

Apart from lack of scrapping I have been quite busy these past weeks. I've started up with Flylady again and my house is really looking better for it. Seems to be alot easier this time as we've got a team thread started on UKS and we all cheer each other on as well as having a place to show our todo lists and done lists.....can't have them seeing me failing at it can I? It's the encouragement I need. Things go a bit pearshaped at weekends when I work alot and all the kids are about, but I'm hoping tomorrow to still get my bits done even with the kids off.....after all I need to get used to it as they're off for 2 weeks soon. They're keeping me busy inbetween though with nativities, partys, coffee mornings and the like...I'll be sick of mincepies by the time Christmas is here.

Right that's all the updates I can think of at the minute, though I'm sure there are more... off for some shut eye I think. Laterz

Buttons....

My favourite Advent Swap gift so far has got to be these cute chipboard buttons. Scrummy....mmmmmm. I love getting little surprises each day, though the kids don't seem to think so. I've now promised to do the same for them next year, so bye, bye chocolate advent calendars and hello individually wrapped pressies for each day x4! I think I may make a start on it in January. Else I'll be going metal.

The minute I opened these little beauties I knew I had to use them, luckily for me I was scrapping with a friend that morning. I only used one mind as to saver them but I'm pleased with the look.

Apart from buttons and little pressies it's been a productive week, the pile of paperwork on top of the microwave is no more, also my accounts are nearly straight, few more days or so and I'll be laughing. Hehe.

Right off to chill in front of the tele for a bit I think, oh and get something to eat.

Retreat.

Yes I know it's been nearly a week since Sarah's retreat but it took my about 4 days to remember to take the pictures while it was still light. Here are some of the scrummy things that I got to make while I was there. Sarah, Sarah's Mum, Julie, Jools, Jani, Sam and Co. (incase I've forgotten anyone. - it's late) put in soooo much work to make the day a success and it was nothing short of that. We had food fit for a king...or 100 kings, service & classes second to none, and the atmosphere was just fantastic!

The next one has even been booked for March already and I'm gonna go....bagsied my spot and warned hubby it's coming. :-) I can't see how they're going to top this one, but I bet they do. Women on a mission....

Well apart from a whole day scrapping and about 3 recovering from it, I've been a busy little bee. Craft Robos are the sort after christmas gift and I've been playing Santa to ladies all week. Supplies are around at the minute but lowish, so if you're wanting one, don't wait....

Right I'm getting tired now and can't think straight. I'll try and post again in the next few days with all the bits I've missed. LOL

Found it!!!!

YEAH! I found my mojo again. :) So what did I do. ~ yep I put it to good use. Completed a CJ (late...sowwy) and 2 layouts from Sarah's Cards Ltd Kit. It's only took me a few weeks to get around to it, but I'm pleased with the results. Both are of Carys painting her Pottery Pig in Wales as the colours of her top went so well. I even had the sewing machine out again and tried every stitch that it had. LOL

My DT arrived to day too.......ooooo all Christmassy and gorgeous. I can't wait to create with that, just got a close shift at work tonight then hopefully I can play tomorrow. A couple of visitors are popping around tomorrow too from UKS so I can't wait to meet them, it's great meeting people in the flesh that you've seen online. Helps put images to posts.

Apart from that I don't think I have much to update from yesterday, so I'd better slope off and get this brew drunk as its nearly that 'school run' time again. *sigh*

Sorry Sarah.....

I've been told off.....for not updating my blog so here goes - waffle coming up. Hehe.

It's been a manic few weeks again, I don't know wether I'm coming or going, yet I problaby couldn't come up with a huge list of what I've actually HAVE been doing. - Figure that one out for me if you can. Anyway lets see if I can come up with a mini list of things I have done:

* GREAT NEWS first though Sarah is having Twins - eeeeeekkkk! Rather her than me, I may have 4 but the thought of 2 x 2yr olds is just scary for even me. .. though I know she'll sail through it and love every minute. :-)

* My lot had a day off school last week due to a school assistants funeral and well......they got up to all sorts, including pulling all 3 matteresses onto the floor to create better bounce! I just took some pictures and shut the door on them....leave them to it I say. LOL

* Scrummy dream street papers have arrived in full glory and more are now on there way due to selling out of some ranges, and of course I had to get a few more while I was there, so keep an eye out for there arrival. It's amazing the possibilities a lovely paper bring to your scrapping.

* My gifts for the advent swap are nearly ready but in no way yet wrapped, so I really need to get on with allowing some time for that. I can't wait to get mine and open a gift a day. With any luck I'll have more than the kids. :-)

* GoGo DT kit is also due to land on my doorstep tomorrow so I need to catch up on loads of other bits so I can play when it arrives. Quick deadline this month....which I don't mind as it makes me get it done, and quite often I produce better layouts when I just get on with it. LOL

Well I think that's it for my update for now. No doubt I'll think of loads more when I publish this but hey....I suppose I could post again. Off now to catch up on a few house bits as I've been neglecting my cyber friends too recently and I really need to go and catch up.

Pumpkin Time

I forgot to put these up last night after the bike hunting, but the other night hubby came back from the shop with a pumpkin! Well we've never done one before but the kids loved it. It didn't take long for it to become hollowed out and scary face in place. hehe. Katherine loved watching it all right up until it became scary...now it has it face pointing to a corner until it goes outside above the door next Tuesday.

Kids have been playing all day and it's took me ages to tidy up where they've been but the house is V nearly looking presentable now. Which is a good job really as I'm getting weary now and fancy a nice sit down with a magazine.....Thanks Ness. xx

Hoping to get some scrapping done tonight when I get in, and then get the bug for all weekend as I feel like I've not really had the time recently and that makes me sad. :( It's not PMT for me it's LOS (lack of Scrapping).

Right off to change this washing over and settle down with my Mag. Catch you all later.

*right blogger will only let me post one picture today and I'm not fighting with it......so that's all you're getting. Hehe

Been Shopping.....

Yep finally we've got Megans birthday present for next Wednesday. I got arount to thinking about up coming birthdays and Christmas' and made some final decisions the other day. The girls are getting new bikes for birthdays and all are getting a big Trampoline for Christmas. No cluttered house (I hope) as well as enjoyment all year. :-) Now to save up and actually buy them. Hehe.

I'm sure they'll all come up with lists for the little bits over the coming weeks. As will I. Hehe. Slow Cooker will be on my list as well as looking at getting myself a new bike with baby seat to help shorten my day trips.

Other than that today has been manic, running around like a headless chicken all day and it's passed way too quick. I'd hardly finished my brew this morning when my friend Dawn came around to take me to the sorting office to pick up the 2 week late chipboard and then stay at ours for a while to scrap with her daughter. Kids had a great time (as did Dawn I think) and were very productive. Me - well I got the chipboard on site. Does that count? Scrapping carried on till after 3, followed by a visit from the ever lovely Sarah, a quick dash to pack parcels and tidy up before the manic Tea rush...

This evening well I've not done alot apart from chat on the phone and have discussion via PM. It's flown by and well it seems like I've had a day full of ????? well I don't quite know.

Hopefully tomorrow will be more productive as I want to try and fit some scrapping in between now and work tomorrow night.....Oh and my big clearout auction finishes tomorrow. YEAH!!

Laterz all.

10 Days...

10 days between each post. That's not right surely? I must try harder.

Well today's big news is that a dear Friend has found out today that she is 4weeks pregnant. It's early days but so far the IVF treatment has worked. :-) It brings a smile to my face everytime I think about it - and yes it's a nice smile, not a hehe what has she got coming to her smile.

I can't wait to start shopping for baby bits again, this is gonna be one spoilt child.

Also Beks has finished creating my supper dupper new shop banner today. Isn't it just delightful? Just need my webby to come online now so I can get it in my shop.

Lots of other yummy stock has been arriving too.....lots to drool over, I love new stock. :-) As many of you know I love to sew on layouts, so threads needed to be a must. Yep you can now get your sewing threads with your adhesive and cardstock. Add to that more flowers, sarabooks, magazines, disney princess kits and my personal fav cork washers I've been one busy bee.

The kids also broke up yesterday, so it's gonna be an easier week next week - I hope. :-)

Right off to scrap, as I feel like I've not got much done these past few weeks and soon it will start to show in my moods.

Laterz all.

Nano, Nano

Well it's a right tale today.....postie knocked on the door this morning with a parcel to sign for (not unusual in this house) but what was unusual was that it was addressed to Carys who's 7. Curiosity got the better of me after about 15 minutes and I opened it to find an iPod Nano inside?????

No markings on the envelope or anything.....I had to wait all day till I picked the kids up from school to find out what happened but basically Megan is known for entering competitions on Nickelodon....she had a My Scene doll arrive in the post a year or so back that she 'won'. The iPod Nano was from another competition she entered but put Carys' name on. - I told her to try and win a car or a house next time. Hehe.

Well I decided as any mother can......that as I've just given my old phone to Carys and Megan is also getting one soon that I should 'take care' of the iPod. After all I can't have my daughters out with a piece of equipment that had a price tag on of £99.95 can I??? Of course not. I've just finished filling it with lovely tunes and it's now my new best friend - an escape route from the noise this house generates.

Don't you think it's pretty? I just need to name it now, in fact I've just thought of one. My new iPod is called 'Sanity'.

Pet Hates

Thanks Sarah-Jane for another great blog prompt:

PET HATES. If you had to list 5 top pet hates..the things that make you physically go "UGH" what would they be? What peeves you? What can make you leave a room!? Have a think and leave us your top 5.

Well this should be fun, I have a few that really nark me but I'm struggling after my first 3...lets see how we go.

1. Cats...I'm allergic to them which doesn't help, but cats who go on kitchen worktops really freek me out. I can't stand it...UGH, why can't they just stay away from that one place. Food goes there.. *shivers*

2. People who haven't been brought up with manners....it's not hard to say please & thankyou. They roll of my tongue as standard, so why is it such an effort for others??

3. Drivers who dont' indicate. I'm not stood at a junction in the pooring rain with the kids for the fun of it you know? I want to cross, and if you don't tell me where you're going how do I know it's safe for my kids to go on the road? I'm not a mindreader.

4. Copycats.....now that is my big nark at the moment, what is wrong with thinking up your own ideas. Business is hard, but hey comeone somepeople really take it to extreme. Even if you stock the same product you can market it different, after all what do you want to be known for?

5. Ok this one is for Jackie....Hehe. Brads all in one tub. How can you work like that? Brads are tiny little things, how are you ever supposed to find the one you want if you chuck them all in one pot?? It's just madness.

Ok so I managed to do it. I'm sure with more time to think I could come up with more but then I'll just become a winger so I'll stop now.

Scrapping...

Yeah, I've managed to get 2 layouts done today, along with going to a party and sort of tidying the house. Had a great natter on the phone with a friend and managed to grab some grabits before they all went too. I love having a good day. :-)

Here are two more sneeky peeks of my DT layouts and that's all you're getting, they're all done and emailed off now, so go go grab the kit to see more....I promise you won't regret it.

As for the rest well Chipboard is still going down a storm - lets see how long it takes for someone to jump on the bandwagon, *rolleyes* it seems with some people that they can't bear someones success and want to flood the market with the same things instead of getting their own ideas. They'll come unstuck some day.....(heed the warning) *rant over*

Tomorrows plans are to complete the CJ's I have, chase up people on the CJ's I host and maybe get a spot of washing done - we'll see. Watch this space to see if it happens. LOL

Where has the time gone?

Yep it's flew by again. I haven't blogged for ages and I'm sowwy for that. I've had a week of doing 'bits' a bit of this and a bit of that, tieing up loose ends. Finally getting the mini album finished for my nan (sorry it's late nan), sorting out all the little bits for the shop. Getting things ordered to be able to complete ideas I've had, as well as doing the little jobs that have been lying around, ironing and such like.

I've also received my first DT kit last week and I've got one layout done. With plans to do more this weekend, along with a couple of CJs. Sneeky peek is shown, but you'll have to buy the kit to see the full thing. --> Scrapagogo Kit

I also can't wait to scrap a few pictures of the kids next week once I've got them printed. Lewis with his prize pencil, which he received from school the other day as he's been chosen to be on the School Council....he asked me if wearing it like this made him look like a workman? What a layout.....I could see it all the way home, and nearly jumped for joy when he said I could take a picture of him and his pencil when I got home.

Also I have a great picture of Carys cleaning the door....the latest thing with her is drawing on things with felt tip - the latest resulting in grounding for 2 weeks along with cleaning it up. The best bit about it though, is the given option to reduce her grounded time a bit by doing jobs....ideas for lovely jobs for my 7 year old teenager to do are welcomed. Hehe

Site wise things have been busy, busy. Chipboard came and went. I'm down to single figures of chipboard with more due in and the Boomin' Blossoms are going down a storm. I'm really excited about it all, as I love finding new and fresh items to stock - it's a great feeling when customers feel the same. Keep and eye on this blog and the site for my latest stock items which are different from the norm for a Scrapbook site. On that note I'm off for my sleep, so I'm ready to scrap, scrap, scrap this weekend, as well as dream up more exciting ideas. Laterz all.

Chipboard, Chipboard, Chipboard....

Most of yesterday revolved totally around chipboard. First seeing that it had landed in the UK, passed cutoms and was in Liverpool....then wondering if I could get around the 3/4 day wait for the letter to pay and delivery. Well I must say EXCELLENT Customer Service to the lady in Liverpool, as one phonecall and not only did she say I could pay before the letter arrived, but as it wasn't in the system yet (due to only getting there in the early hours) that she'd phone me back when it was. - And she DID. Hubby kindly offered to pick it up for me as well because it was on his way home - RESULT. Ahh but then it came I looked, and had to go to work. :(

Once I got back from work though, I had a great giggle. All my team mates had been talking about me while I was there, they decided that I was allowed to take my coat & shoes off when I got in but the coffee would have to wait as they wanted to see too. So scanned I did, and scanned, and scanned......then they all shopped. LOL

This morning the site got a chance, and the Chipboard category was full once again. :-) They've not left much though *rolls eyes*

The early part of tonight has been spent plaiting Megans hair in tiny plaits as she goes on a school trip from Tomorrow til Sunday night and I just know that if I didn't do it her hair would be a nightmare when she gets back. It's tired me out though, and my hands want to give in just typing this. Ahh well, just a few more bits to pack for her and a couple of kids to get quiet and asleep then I might try and get a spot of scrapping in. ~ We shall see.

Right off to sort out Megans case and get some tea for myself

Energy

I've had loads of energy today for some reason, which is a good thing, as with being so busy this past week the house needed a bit of 'treatment'. I've blitzed the whole place and worked the poor washing machine like crazy. *shame*

While my hope for scrapping this evening didn't work, I managed to watch spooks on the tele so had a nice relax instead. I've also done a bit of painting of the lock up, just a bit more to go tomorrow and I'll try and get a picture of it all ready for the worktop to go in. Not soon after it's all finished no doubt it will become hubbies zone, and I'll only be allowed in to get packing supplies out. LOL

I'll also leave you with a picture of me at about 3 - see I was cute. Also as my Ma & Pa read this blog, I thought it would bring up a few memories. :-) (good ones I hope)

Right off to bed now, I've got a school run in the morning....

Honest.....

It's a quick one honest. I had a great day today at the Liverpool crop, many thanks Lynn for providing a great hall and scrummy biscuits. I even managed to get a layout completed from start to finish which is a change. This is from my GoGoCreate kit for september of my likkle wee boy. When I first opened the kit, I just loved the colours but dreaded scrapping with them as they're not my usual taste, but once I started I fell in love.......hope to get more done tomorrow.

Tonight I was hoping to scrap but ended up organising some of my stash, ahh well creative juices will be there tomorrow - I hope. Off to get some rest now as it NEEDS to be cleaning day tomorrow, I've been out lots this week and it's beginning to show - oooops

Toot, Toot, Toot

I can finally shout about it. YEAH. Last Sunday Lorraine kindly asked me to be on the Scrapagogo GoGoCreate Design Team!!!! Of course I said yes. Well actually I said: "Can cats scratch? Can kids be annoying? - course I do." or words to that effect. LOL I've been bursting with the news all week and I can now finally shout about it as the announcement was made a short while ago. Thanks again to Lorraine for asking me, and I can't wait to start work with the next kit which should be next week or so.

The rest of today has seen hubby start work on converting the lock up - which transpires as a mini storage unit being bought and built....yep that's it. The rest is going to happen - so he says and at least he's bought the stuff, but we'll see how long it does take. Keep watching of the updates.

I've spent most of the day finishing little bits here and there, including the lovely Boomin' Blossom Tins......they are just divine and I love them, mmm might just have to let myself have a few more. hehe.

Well I think that's me done, shocking ~ an early evening blog post, along with one a day after another....and I still managed to waffle. lol. Off to get these kids in bed before they Really get in trouble, all they seemed to have done today is argue.

Ages again......

.....it's been ages again hasn't it. Ooops sowwy. Anyway umm beginning of this week I successfully managed to get all bank charges I've ever paid back from Halifax, along with interest. I was one happy bunny to say the least. We paid a few bills etc, and I treated myself to the bottom bit of a MM runaway tote, but apart from that I've been pretty good.

Yes I know that it wasn't that long ago that I got the artbin round RED tote, but it took me a while to realise that while I Love Red, I love organisation more and this is just what I needed, it's gorgeous and all packed and ready to venture to it's first crop on Saturday. :-)

Umm the rest of the week, well Tuesday was a day at home trying to catch up on housework - haha like that happened. I had Lewis off school for one, and that in it's self means alot more work. What is it with boys and men......don't do what you can ask mum/wife to do. ho hum.

Wednesday was the most delightful day at Sarah's, treated to a lovely breakfast, a drool over her stockroom/stockhouse, then coffee with Julie too before heading off to ladyheys where I managed to get some gorgeous provocraft chipboard letters. Then off to the northwich crop with a meal before hand - what more can a girl ask for.

Today has been another day of catchup. Washing, washing and more washing, along with tidying up after leaving hubby and 4 kids to it yesterday. *eeek* Then all evening I've been uploading Boomin' Blossoms......mmm scrummy, I wonder how many 'didn't make it' hehehe. Watch out tomorrow for the Boomin' Blossoms in tins, now they are just lush.

Right better get some shut eye, as it's a busy day tomorrow. Hubby is sorting and organising the lock up so he can take all his remote control cars out there and create a workshop, and I've got more washing to do along with getting the shop ready to be transported to Liverpool for the crop on Saturday.

Blog Prompt

Today's blog prompt on UKS is quite apt, and actually fits in with a layout I did last night, it's to use a quote that describes your life, your feelings, your fears or your thoughts. Talk about how it applies to you.

This layouts shows my quote and sometimes/most of the time the way I am. I don't tend to show my dreams or real feelings that often, for fear that they either won't come true or be laughed at, in turn that means that I tend to hide behind a smile quite often if things are getting me down. It's my way of getting on with life, and more often than not it either goes away, becomes non relevant or rears it head again - that's when I deal with it.

I've found that with kids I need this way of life, after all they come first - not me. It's how I get through life each day, and every now and then my dreams come true. :-) (Like one has this week).

WOW that sounds like a load of waffle reading back, but hopefully you get what I mean.....

Clippykit Bag

I've had a whale of a time today doing the inserts for my new clippykit bag. It arrived on Friday and I've been itching to do it, but I was at work last night. There was a little muck up with the order, but one simple phonecall and it's all sorted out - well and truly in my favour too. - THANKYOU Clippykit for such great service. :-)

This first side shows my 2 lovely eldest daughters and a picture of me with my brother and sister that I actually like. eeek

The other side is my 2 youngest along with my ma & pa......can't wait till I go and see them again in January. Aus for 3 whole weeks (with no kids) bliss. (I will miss them though)

Apart from that today has been spent doing the garden. It will need another mow tomorrow when the grass dries out a bit more, but hopefully that will be the bulk of the work done until next spring.

Oh and I've entered another design team. It's for a spot on the DT for Little Silver Hat a ribbon seller who has the most lovely designs and is a delightful Lady. Wish me luck. :-)

The deadline for the Retailers CJ is looming, and I've spent a fair chunk of my time this evening sorting that out, just a bit more to do in the first post - posting lists etc, but at least the main is done. Right off for a quick check of the boards and I'm off for a rest.

I've recently joined a new team and as well as being full of mad nutty women just like me there is talent in the genes.....Chris' daughter Beks is just the most amazing 14yr old I've not yet had the pleasure to meet. She's a wizz.....isn't it just grand.

They're back.....

Kids are all back at school now, and trouble already. Little 'get' at school causing trouble with my DD2, so I've gone in like a bull in a china shop and cross fingers now it will stop dead, else I'll just have to get really angry. LOL

Got the layout done I had planned in my head on Monday and I'm really chuffed with it - don't even dare to ask me how many hours stitching it was as I'm not even going to attempt to add them up, surfice to say - LOTS.

Working the rest of the week but I'm hoping to get some scrapping done at the weekend as I need to get our teams first weekly challenge done, plus I have loads of holiday photos and I've not got many of them scrapped yet.

Apart from that it's plod on with the week and roll on next week when I get not one but 2 days out for meeee. I can't wait.

Long Time no See...

Figured it's been a while since my last post - sorry about that to those that read. Sometimes I feel like I don't have much to say, but when I do post I seem to be able to waffle for an age.....

Had a manic shift at work on Saturday resulting in a very tired me. But off to a crop I went and managed to get a letter R altered, and that was it. I do have another layout in my head though and I hope to put it into practise very soon. I promise to do more at the next crop I go to - honest.

I claimed my Moneyclaim file this morning too against halifax, now the long wait for them to acknowledge it etc, before they finally give us our money back. ~ Now that will be a good day. :-)

The other layout shown is one I did with Auntie Sarah's Bloomers, yummy scrummy flowers that I just adore, so much that I had to get some more yesterday, hopefully I'll get some time to scrap with them soon.

Thanks to all the ladies at the crop yesterday for putting up with a very tired me, who due to having no creativity seemed to gas abit and wander around in a stupor. LOL

As for my moans......well......Why oh Why do some people in business not have an iota of business sense, now I'm not saying I'm the most business minded (far from it) but I NEVER make it personal. Life is too short.

I don't pinch ideas and I try my hardest (while small) to bring something a little different into the scrapping world, to go the extra mile and to make my customers happy. People in business please think before you act when others are involved - else you'll end up being the one that looses.

Big Hugs today also to a close friend - I'm here. :-)

Short One....

Just a short one as I need to get to bed.

I've scrapped some holiday photos *Big Cheer*. Only 2 done so far but it's a start and I'm really chuffed with it. This is Caernarfon Castle and you can see from the picture of the girls that it was one high tower....well infact 2 towers. As seen in the picture above it was a tower in a tower (well sort of) - any way it was high!

Hopefully I'll get more done in the weeks to come.

Tired.....

Where does the time go when the kids are on holiday?? I feel like I'm running in circles trying to chase the clock. Not having a structure in the day, ie school times is really taking it's toll on me now, and it probably doesn't help that I don't have to get out of bed that early either. I don't seem to be able to get anything constructive done before midday if not later. Kicking myself up the rear seems the way to go at the moment.....come on ladies & gents - shout at me for being a lazy moo in the mornings.

I've popped a few more pictures of the holiday on, including me playing on the see-saw. It's been years since I've been on one. Mad Mummy moment in the making. LOL I feel like last week is already a distant memory and the daily structure of life (or lack of in my case) has taken over all too quickly. I need to set myself guidelines for the sake of my sanity and the kids.

Right off to get my rear moving and to the Post Office, else no one will be getting scrapping goodies in the post, and that's just not a nice thought.

What a Week.....

This week has just been manic and it's only Monday.

We had a great week away in Wales, the kids had a fantastic time, both learning and playing. Pictures arrived this morning and I can't wait to scrap them. I've got some great shots of the kids painting pottery pigs. Katherine had such a look of concentration, her first time painting... loving her 'piggy bank'. She still goes on about it now. I suppose I'd better be quick and varnish them with something before they wear the paint off. LOL

We also visited a Castle and Electric Mountain....boy it's a long way to the top of a castle tower...I'm not doing that again. Katherine was great going up, but not so good going down...to the point that daddy got the short straw and carried her. Megan has had her head in the guide books ever since, so at least she'll have loads to write about when she goes back to school.

We only booked 5 days in the Caravan thinking that it was new to the kids and not knowing how Katherine would cope with being 2 and not liking new things too much, but boy she loved it, as did all of them..full week next time I think. Can't imagine me coping with much longer. :-)

This is one of my all time fav pictures from the holiday, and the only one I got done in 7x5, don't they look so peaceful.

Right I suppose I'd better get on....house is a dive as I've been uploading to eBay and getting the business back on track all weekend. Laterz!

I WON!!!!!

I can't believe I've actually won something :-)

This month's Scrapagogo kit was blonde moments and Dyan picked 2 winning entries from all those submitted (about 70 or 80) and one of them was mine.......Yeh!!! This is it - Smile, it's a bit different from my usual, though I am doing a few of them - basically it's a 'throw it all on' layout....I'm kinda liking them. But they have there time. My style seems to be quite hit and miss at the moment.

The other layout is my latest Scrapi-dare for Scraptitude and as you can see it's a bit simpler, for my Book of Me, which has a few pages in now, but really needs some due care and attention. The dare was to use 13 or more of one type of embellishment, so I went for lots of flowers and brads. It is around my favourite colour and therefore my personality. I must say it's quite apt for me. Though some of it I will deny til the day I die. LOL

Apart from the serious lack of layouts I'm producing I'm running around in circles at the moment trying to get ready for my holidays as well as sorting out the new Pricing for eBay, and putting new pages on my website.

After all if webby tells me I now have a new feature I've got to mess haven't I? Check out my How to get Organised feature now in place. :-)

Well I'm signing off now, due to more washing needing attention, and I've got catching up to do left, right & centre. At least I've not got work at Pizza Hut for over a week - hiphiphorray!!!

You never know...

You never know with some people do you. I must admit to having my eyes opened to certain things recently, maybe I'm just too trusting or gulable (delete as required). Oh well, live and learn I suppose.

Apart from that life is hectic. Having the kids home maybe great fun, but where does the time go? It probably isn't helped by the fact that I spend too much time in bed in the morning, but really - does time pass that quick??? I really need to get my backside in gear and get stuff done. Too much time spent messing instead of doing.

Here is a page I did the other day for my Book of Me. I'm trying to do this album in 8.5" x 11" but I'm not converted yet....there isn't enough room to throw design on. Maybe I'll get better with practise. I really must get organised. The UKS CC starts tomorrow and I've only just remembered when typing this - ooops Guess that's plans for the rest of the week. LOL

I've also picked up extra hours for work at the moment to help pay for our holiday and boy is that wearing me out. I even went in on Saturday when I'd booked it off as we're that short staffed and it was a manic shift with skeleton staff meaning I had twice as many tables to see to as normal. Luckily they were all lovely and totally understood...good day for tips too. :)

Well I'm off to kick these kids to bed and try to finish my current project. Laterz

Paper Bag Books...

...yep the last 48hrs has consisted of Paper Bag Books and not much else. They're the gifts for the teachers this year and boy was it hard work just getting the kids to write 3 things that they thank the teacher for. After a year you'd have thought it would be easy.

Megan was great as usual, wrote them straight out and had no trouble when I asked her to redo 2 in the red colour pen instead. Carys just said she couldn't think of anything as school was rubbish...ho hum. Lewis just didn't want to write - as usual, does it for the teachers but not when mum asks. Anyway finally got them all written even if not willingly this evening and I've spent a good 3 hours finishing them all off and putting them together - sorry to the class room assistant who I'm afraid won't get the same special gift but I couldn't take any more, I'm shattered. Off for a long soak in the tub in a minute to recover.

The kids break up tomorrow and I just can't wait.....lazy days coming right up. Hubby has even offered to nip to the shop in the morning to get me and Katherine some lovely grots to see us through our last day together for a while. Now that I will miss, but having the kids home is great fun too. It's amazing how much easier the day is without spending over an hour doing school runs each day.

Right off for my soak, catch all you lovely people later.

Look at me....

Well not quite me, but a load of drivel I wrote about myself. I was stoked when Lorraine asked me to be the member spotlight for Scrapagogo's July's kit Magazine, as well as unsure about what to write etc.....so I did it when I was in the mood like today. Ready for a waffle. Here is some of my layouts in full blown print....proffesionally printed and everything. Lorraine also included all 3 layouts I sent, so that was fabby....3 hits in one. :-) And I also must say that July's kit contents were just as fabby. I've done 2 layouts so far and I can't wait to do more. Just got to get this work thing out the way first....

As for the rest of my life - that's busy. I've been to the kids funday at school today, spent a fortune as usual and came home with nought, but at least it all goes to a good cause. I can't wait for them to break up for the summer next tuesday...no getting dressed til late, lazy mornings, and hopefully fun, fun fun and maybe a spot of scrapping too. :-) Just got to get the teachers presents organised first....that will be Sunday's mission I think. I want to do mini paper bag albums for the teachers with the kids writing what they've learnt in the past year....sort of a thankyou for teaching me this and this. At least the girls will be able to do quite a bit of it themselves, then I'll just need to get Lewis in the mood for writing and hey presto - pressies.

Well while it's work, work, work for me tomorrow I suppose I'd better sign off for now......and do to sleep chanting - I will update my blog more..I will update my blog more.. I will update my.....you get the drift. LOL
