Caught Up..

Apologies in advance for the picture heavy blog post, but I've caught up on my project life!!

Firstly we have the beginning of February:

I've included an actually copy of one of the invites I've made for my brother in an extra page protector cut down to fit.

The end of Jan has been completed and journalling filled in, some of these photos have been pinched from the kids or Facebook as I didn't decide until the end of March to even start this year. I've also got a new label printer, which is working wonders to add a snippet of information.

Some little foam letters from Hobbycraft work well too when I don't have a lot to say but want to include some of those day to day life pictures. I've also dragged the kids into it all and have them journalling a few times.

One of the tickets from our trip to The Lion King worked great on this layout - that or it would have been stuck in a drawer somewhere for the rest of it's days.

On this layout I've even put in a screen shot of something that was going around Facebook a while ago as it made me smile - it's so true for my kids.

This double spread is still using photos taken by all of us this year so sometimes an event or day takes up a whole page. I've also included a tag on a pretty parcel I got that month as it put a smile on my face.

This page sees a ticket from the girls concert and their views on it written down as well as a letter Carys got from school saying how well she was doing.

April begins here, I've decided not to follow a strict week by week view on this album, partly because I started it late and didn't have the pictures to start that way, but also because I find this is less pressure until I get in a rhythm.
Hense the reason I also don't embellish much, just get it in there... My creative streak will be saved for 12x12 layouts to go into the childrens albums.

Screen shots of flights booked for my brothers wedding in Australia had to make it to this page along with FaceTime with family...after all those are the little and big things.

This is where I started taking pictures with Project Life in mind, there is a screen shot of the news of Margaret Thatchers death (no journalling required, just documenting a big event), I also got my son to stand still for a minute while I got a snapshot of his one sock on, one sock off approach to home life.

I've included a text conversation in this layout, to compliment the story, also screen shots of an App my son helped to create. I like these different ways to show things in our lives. (how long will it be until that view of texts look ancient?)

I even took a shot of the shop I work in before we opened as I thought I should document where I spend a lot of my time.

You may notice that I'm also journalling - A LOT. More than I think I've ever done in all of my albums combined. It seems easier in this album for some reason, maybe because miss match hodge podge is the idea - and with that my handwriting fits. lol

It was hard to only choose a couple of photos from a family meal out, but I've got to remember that the rest will have their own place too.

In this last page you can see a few more of my 'take that picture for project life' examples (I mean how often do you take a picture of your dishes?) I also took a picture of Kate's daisy chain with a lot of space to one side so I could do some label journalling but then I found a cool iPhone app called OPEN which allowed me to put text straight onto the photo before I printed it out - I think I'm in love!
It wouldn't surprise me if you see a lot more text printed onto photos.

If you got to the end - thank you for visiting.

Fab stuff Rebecca! Very inspirational for me as I'm about to embark on my PL. All seems scary at this stage but love what you have done so will be coming back for more inspiration! Keep it up :) x
